********************************************* Download the Latest Ramsete Software (v. 2.70) ********************************************* Following these instructions, You can download the latest release of the Ramsete package. Please note: Ramsete is not freeware! You need to purchase it from Spectra (HTTP://www.spectra.it). They will send You an hardware protection key (an old Hardlock dongle for the parallel port, or, currently, a Smarteky USB dongle). Without it, Ramsete only runs in demo mode. After installation, look at the README.TXT file for information about bug fixings and new features. INSTRUCTIONS First of all, download the following files: RAMSETE27.ZIP - Archive containing the setup files 1. Unzip all the contents of the ZIP archive to a temporary directory 2. Execute the setup.exe program 3. Follow the instructions of the Setup. Now You are free to install the software in whatever directory You want. 4. We DO NOT SUGGEST to install it in the same directory as a previous Ramsete installation 5. We warmly suggest, instead, to leave untouched the default directory (C:\Ramsete27) After installation, look at the readme.txt file for updeated infos on this release. ******************************************** 32bit Drivers for Hardlock/Smarkey dongles ******************************************** \DRIVERS Directory INSTRUCTIONS On the Ramsete web server, in the Drivers subdirectory, the Windows Drivers for the two different types of hardware dongles are stored: Hardlock (old type, for Ramsete 1.xx only - black color) Smartkey (new type, parallel or USB, white color) Download and install only the drivers for Your specific type of dongle... Please note that now the program for automatically installing drivers for the Smartkey dongle is already included inside the Ramsete package, and you can execute it directly (it is called Dongle Drivers Installer). Also the Dongle Manager program is now included inside the Ramsete package: please note that this is only required for reprogramming your Smartkey dongle, but this should not usually be necessary, as Ramsete dongles are usually supplied pre-programmed.
